When I began this blog, I was on a quest for my personal style. My strategy has been to apply my movie making philosophy to finding my style. Meaning: research and development is key. And the script is the director!
Right now, I feel like I have done a good deal of research and development and that things are going well! However, there are still some days when I'm feeling a little insecure. So I'm not ready to start writing my style script... just yet!
skirt and shoes: Zara / shirt : H&M/ knee highs and bangle : Simon/ necklace : Swarovski / accessory glasses: UO
However I think today's outfit reflects the me I am and want to be. And I feel confident!
I'd say that's a pretty swell start to the week! Go Monday Go!
I hope you have a great day too :)
I love this look and those glasses are awesome! And you should be confident!

I'm glad that this outfit made you feel like the best version of yourself. For me, that's what clothing and personal style are all about!
ReplyDeleteYour styling is spot-on as usual. I love the way your red accessories pop against a neutral palette, and the patent heeled oxfords are amazing!
The red-rimmed glasses are pretty awesome. Very sophisticated look! I'll be looking at this blog frequently for inspiration when I go shopping :P
ReplyDeleteA.
You look great! And I think we all have those days... sometimes even if I wear an outfit I felt amazing in before, it just doesn't gel on the day. So I think there's something as well as research and development. But definitely thinking ahead helps out big time!
ReplyDeleteHoly cute shoes! I found a pair like that a while ago on Etsy...sadly they were too small. <3 You look great.
ReplyDeleteYou look so adorable, I love the glasses-and from urban outfitters? So cute! You look very comfy yet chic :)

Not a bad way to greet the week at all! I like this look a lot - it has tons of personality, which I think is a solid fit for you =D As always, super cute shoes!
ReplyDeleteYou look super cute! Those shoes are killer. I feel you on this post- I know sort of the direction me and my wardrobe want to take, but I'm not quite there yet.
ReplyDeleteI agree that this looks sophisticated. The black and tan are classic together, your glasses are great and your shoes are (this is going to sound pretentious) charming. But they really are! You're making me want some cute little heeled oxfords more than ever!
ReplyDeleteThanks guys! I love these shoes too and they are SO comfortable, you can have the busiest day without ever hurting one bit!
ReplyDeleteIt's so funny you should post this! There was an article on the Burdastyle website last week about finding your personal style and it made me think about what mine is. Since I started sewing my own clothes my style has definitely changed drastically. Thank you for the lovely comment on my skirt btw, I've been working on a similar one, so that should be up this weekend. Good luck with your sewing endeavors! I'd love to see something about them on your blog!
ReplyDeleteGreat look. Love the pop of color with the frames and necklace. And the shoes are awesome.

Virginie, this is DEFINITELY my fav look of yours to date! the great pop of color in your glasses and the knee highs = gorgeous!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat look - I love the inspiration source, you're rocking it! The black and khaki go so well together and the pop of red in the glasses works so well.

AAAAH! You look so so super amazing!!! You are seriously one of my very favorite little fashionistas, my darling Virginie! I adore this whole ensemble, but especially the way you are rocking those red specs!!!!!
ReplyDeleteperfect! definitely band of outsiders!
ReplyDeleteLove this so much I can barely speak. I just pinned it. No words how stunning you look.
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit! The long shorts and high socks are so cool together! Your red glasses are really great too! My first glasses were red when I was a kid - they were big like those and I bet would be totally in style again! :)
ReplyDeleteOh! I just noticed the red in your pendant! Nice! :)
I love how you compared finding your style to the process of putting together a movie project, it's such an apt description! Most of us aren't born with style, we have to try different things and find our way to what suits us. I think you're well on your way and I adore this look, especially the red glasses. Fabulous!
