We spent the week-end in the country for my father's legendary annual corn on the cob and bbq party. We played games (my petanque team made it to the finals!), ate a ton and tried not to melt in the hotter than hot weather. Alex, Ramiro and I decided we
had to make it across the soy fields to go swim in the river but when we got there the boys rubbed against the wrong plant and got a crazy allergic reaction. Oh Summer adventures!
How was your week-end?

So lovely... what a perfect weekend and your family tradition sounds perfectly charming!! Hope you're well, sweet girl! xo
ReplyDeleteI love family parties, especially in summer, Eep to the allergy-giving plant though!
ReplyDeleteThe photo of the monarch is incredible! Also you look beautiful in the first photo. I love making the most of the weekend.

Thanks Wren! I was trying to get it with it's wings open but it stopped moving the moment it noticed I was taking it's picture, ha!

I love the idea of a corn on the cob and bbq party! Corn on the cob is one of my favourite things to eat during the Summer. It always brings back memories of childhood, and I love that you get to eat it with your hands :)
ReplyDeleteCorn on the cob is my absolute favorite food! We only get it one month out of the year here so I eat as much as I can :)
DeleteHave a great week dear!
