Last Night's Movie ♥

Ok, ok, so my my cinephile friends are giving me much grief about this but... I like Twilight. I usually shy away from mass movements of hysteria because I've always strongly believed that when everyone is digging at one spot, you should go dig somewhere else. However last year Ramiro got me the trilogy on blue ray for Christmas and because as a cinephile I like all films I checked them out... and liked it a lot! It really touched the emo teenager in me and made me feel many emotions, which is what I like the best about movies! I have to say that Breaking Dawn wasn't my favorite because the script is diluted and the directing was... well a little cheap for a movie of that budget  (75 million $!). I think the cinematography could have been much more exciting (especially at the wedding, which is gorgeous) and wish I had felt more. In all I still enjoyed it and was wondering what you thought of it? Are you a fan or a die hard hater? I can understand both, and am happy to stay in the middle ground :)

    I'm hear ya! I'm for the most part a film snob but i do love Twilight! Going to see it tomorrow so I'll see how I like the newest installment :)

    I think Twilight is crap... but I've still read all the books and seen all the films. It's fun crap. That trailer looks pretty ridiculous though! : )

    When Twilight first became a phenomenon all of my friends were OBSESSED and I just refused to watch them. One of my friends finally convinced me, and I FELL IN LOVE. I'm such a craze. I loved Breaking Dawn and all of the others. :) hehe

    I'm right along with you in the middle ground! :) Not a die-hard hater, because the written books aren't entirely terrible, but I'm just not a fan of things that get "super-popular", like Twilight did.

    Maybe I'll rent the movie someday. :) I'm glad you included the trailer! I hadn't seen it yet!

    I haven't watched or read anything Twilight, and don't plan to! I heard the writing was terrible.. and if I want vampires I'll rewatch Buffy :p xx

    I like to watch them because I love vampire movies and a friend told me I kinda needed to at least see them if I wanted to keep my street cred. I don't really love them but they are usually shot really well. I am hoping to see the latest one with a friend who does love them.

    I've never seen the movies (even after having friends who worked on them) but I still understand seeing them. You can't truly call yourself a cinephile without embracing all things cinema!
