Oh my friends what a challenge it has been lately to take outfit pictures! Never mind the snow, the freezing temperature, the lack of sun and the crazy winds, I've actually broken the 35MM lens I usually use (NOOOOOOOO!) and now have lost my tripod head in a sea of boxes. But I am still getting dressed and trying to share the (very Canadian these days) inspiration nonetheless, nothing gets this jolly girl down, woot woot!
Here we have my reindeer sweater again! I'm trying to get as much wear out of it as I can before the Holiday season is over. It's one of my favorite sweaters because it's so soft and versatile and I have to say I bought it at Forever 21 and it makes all the F21 haters wrong because no matter how much I wash it and put it in the dryer it's still perfect, same length, no fuzz with solid seams. When our clothes don't stay so nice I say: don't blame the store, blame the fabrics we choose! Polyester is not your friend, no matter where you buy it or how much you pay for it. Go for natural fabrics (yay cotton!).
I think the day I moved to Québec city I started wearing these grey wool socks with the red line. In Montreal I would have never worn them, but it's so darn cold here and these are the best socks to keep the feet toasty. It was like an intuition I had when I moved here and I have since discovered all the girls here wear them, at the swap last week out of 15 girls at least 8 were wearing these socks (there's a picture to prove it on my Twitter!).
I hope you are having a great week and getting all your Christmas crafting, baking and shopping done and enjoying the season to the fullest!
Virginie ♥
À quand un F21 à Québec?
ReplyDeleteCuuuuuuute! I would wear that sweater as much as I could too! Love it. :) so sorry about your camera and tripod though!
ReplyDeleteBtw! I'm having a huge giveaway an would love if you entered, miss Virginie!
Soon I hope! But for now I find it's one of the easiest store to shop online, they ship from Canada with low to none shipping fees :)
ReplyDeleteI am so not 21 but I love to shop stores that fit my lifestyle!
LOVE those wedges! Cute look!
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is so awesome. You look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteNawww.. I already find it IMPOSSIBLE to take outfit pics at the moment just because it's a little cold and stormy.. but it looks much colder where you are, so maybe I should stop whining and just get on with it haha. I will as soon as my flu is over (as soon as..... :p)
ReplyDeleteLove how you always look so happy - a smile really does seem like the best accessory! :)
Or maybe we need to start taking pictures inside, he he (though you can't beat real light for pictures!).
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet comment my friend :)
I call socks like those "my works socks" because my dad wears them to work. I wear them anywhere. They're great for sliding on our hardwood floors too.
ReplyDeleteI love the looks you're rocking for Canadian winter. And even though it's cold, I'm hoping for a white Christmas for everyone.
No wonder you love that sweater! It's adorable! Love your fur hat too. You look super cozy :)

That sweater is the cutest! I LOVE it :) I have been looking for one but they are pretty rare so it appears... F21 had a million ones, but not one in my size, haha ^^ x
ReplyDeleteAwesome sweater! I too have been wearing socks constantly these days, last year I went a bit nuts and bought about 20 pairs so I love finding new things to wear them with! :)
ReplyDeleteVirginie, you are so damn cute (again) in this post that I immediately want to move and become a Québec City girl too. And while I'm there, borrow this entire outfit!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's all about fabric not price. I've had some clothes from H&M for years and they're perfect!
You look so lovely Virginie! Sometimes it's really hard to stay upbeat when the weather is gross and you can't seem to find any time to do the things you really want to be doing. This jacket looks great on you, and the hat is amazing as always.
ReplyDeleteI always love your outfits! What a bummer about your camera.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is adorable!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI love winter clothes, I wish I lived somewhere with snow!
ReplyDeleteHave been keeping up to date with your movie progress too, can't wait to see more!!!
so so so adorable!!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog!
Hi, love your blog, and I love seeing your winter/cold weather outfits!
ReplyDeleteCUte CUTE CUTE! Time for me to pull out my F21 Reindeer sweater, now! :) Not many days left to wear it! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a perfect look, Virginie! So sassy! :D
Love this entire outfit! Cute knits with holiday themes are my favorite, I love them when they're even more granny-ish. Ha!
ReplyDelete❤ Katherine
this is so presh. I wish I could have luck finding good finds at F21 :)
ReplyDeleteI think the best way to shop F21 is online, more choice and time to browse around!
ReplyDeleteYou really have me swoon crazy over your outfit lovely lady:) This is layering perfection for sure and all the little details from the furry hat to the wooly socks are as dear as can be. I totally agree about the fabric thing...though I don't shop modern stores nearly as much anymore, I have stuff from F21 that has outlasted my Anthropologie stuff. Not to blame either store...it really is all about the fabric.
ReplyDeleteOMG, you're so sweet, I love this Canadian look, it's obvious the weather is pretty cold, so a big bow to your courage to wear a skirt (I always do that, and people consider me crazy :D )
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend, and keep up the good work, for it's really heart-warming and inspiring :)
hugs ♥ !
gahhhh, that coat is fantastic, you've got such a collection of awesome ones i'm just in awe over each and every one you showcase. love the little striped socks detail peeking out, nice Canadiana touch.
ReplyDeletesure hope the shoots get a little easier, you've got a lot to manage between the weather and lost tripods. oh my! i'm with you about F21, i still have stuff i bought from there in tip top shape after many years of wear. really good advice! xo ♥
Love this outfit doll! I wish I had more time during the day to shoot!
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love learning more on this topic. If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with extra information? It is extremely helpful for me. Quebec City
