Movie Date ♥

Lately life has been really busy and we have been planning a lot of things on a long term timeline. We finalized our post production schedule today and it is crazy that it brings us all the way to April 2013! It's completely exciting too knowing that soon after that the movie will debute and everyone will get to see it. I cannot wait! Anywho, what I meant to talk about it the fact that sometimes it's important to just take a some time off and go on a date where you don't talk (or think) about work. Especially if you work with your spouse. (somehow I really don't like that word!). That's why Ramiro and I decided to take some time off and go see what the fuss was all about, aka watch The Hunger Games. Any movie that grosses 155 millions on it's first week-end is worth investigating as far as we're concerned! Ok, so maybe it was a little work related after all! I's rather not share my thoughts on the movie because it just wasn't really my style, but I saw this on FB today and thought it was so true ;)
Nonetheless it was nice to do something romantic and talk about Summer vacation plans over dinner. Ramiro was a huge fan of this outfit, something between me wearing his pants and the see through blouse really did it for him. I think in the end this outfit was inspired by my screening of The Girl With The Dragon tattoo Friday night. Although I'll never be as bad ass as Lisbeth.... style wise and all!

Hope your week is going well everyone and if you are crazy busy like me, take a moment to realize that we are making our dreams come true everyday :)

Virginie ♥

i love the see threw shirt with the boyfriend jean look. you look great! what'd you think of hunger games? have you read the books? I really liked the movie, but my partner, not so much. He hadn't read the books though, and is kind of a non fiction type of guy.

    1. Hey Hattie!

My husband ans I make films together. He is a screenwriter director (he writes big time video games like Spider-Man and other Marvel franchises!) and I am an independent producer (I've produced 14 short films to date and 24 episode web series called OFF on The Roof ). One of the short films I made with my husband was presented at the Cannes Film Festival (the biggest festival in the world!) in 2010.

This past January, after a year and a half of working on the script, we shot our film feature film together, Clyde Nelson, which is currently in post production and will debute in 2013.

As for The Hunger Games, I haven't read the books and didn't know anything about it before I saw it. With much respect to all the fans, I have to say it's not my type of movie, I thought there were a lot of plot wholes and that the beginning was cool but once you are in the game it's kind of weak. To me it just looks like an American remake of Asian movie Battle Royale, which I enjoyed better. I think was bothered me the most was the photography, the movie was shot mostly close ups, which doesn't seem to fit the nature of the story so well... Plus it was out of focus most of the time, which always annoys me in a movie with that kind of a budget.

Was I just way too honest? He he :)

I'm really happy for everyone involved in making the movie though because they are having a huge success!!

  7. The sleeves on this blouse are so cute! My man really digs it when I wear his clothes too. I'm not sure if it's one of those 'marking your territory' things, but it's an easy way to make him happy so I don't mind :)

    1. I'm sure it's a territory thing, or making a reflection of themselves in us? Either way, I'm all for dressing to make my ma happy :)

  10. Hey don't mind it! I liked the movie but the books are always waaaay better in my beliefs! It's never a good thing when something gets hyped too much I think :) It's one big merchandise circus and I think maybe that made the movie that little less interesting to me :)

You look amazing though! Saw the sneak peek on twitter yesterday and LOVED that blouse right away! x

  11. La chemise est vraiment cool!
J'ai vu Hunger Games hier, j'ai aimé mais je trouve que le personnage interprété par Woody Arelson aurait pu être approfondi...
