You will believe me when I say the Oscars is my absolute favorite Award show. In the world.
I am having a little Oscars soirée at my place with Ramiro and Sophie, we will be eating chocolate mousse cake, drinking tea and crying profusely. Actually... I might be the only one crying profusely! I can never help myself, the Cannes Film Festival and the Oscars are two of the most moving things to me. It's because I totally envision myself on the red carpet and on stage and I'm sure that one day I will be. They are tears of joy, seing so many people sharing my passion in one place and making such amazing, beautiful and touching movies. I'll be having a special thought for my friends and colleges that will be in attendance with the movie Incendies, best of luck to you guys!
My favorite this year is by far The Social Network and if I have my way Aaron Sorkin will win best screenplay.
Kashu and I dressed up for this special day, notice, Kashu's bow tie?
Happy Oscar Day everyone!
Ohh, this is EXACTLY how I feel Virginie! :D I always make sure I have the day off after the Oscars, 'cause obviously I won't have time to sleep as the show starts at 2am my time - but it's my absolute favourite night of the year and like you I also cry throughout the entire show!
ReplyDeleteI know I've said it before, but I'm so happy I found your blog! It's great to know people with the same passion. Hope you'll have a wonderful evening! x

I love your shoes!**
ReplyDeleteAaron Sorkin won! Woot Woot!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed the show! I didn't watch (I know...) but checked in on all the winners this morning. I really hope you win an Oscar one day, lady! And I will be sure to watch :)
ReplyDeleteI love your shoes, too Virginie :) And is there any leftover chocolate mousse cake by any chance? Need.
ReplyDeleteI kind of get weepy too - especially for the "little guys" when they win and they thank everyone. Then again, I get weepy when athletes win medals for the same reason.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm with you on The Social Network - great film making, screenwriting, directing...wow.
