Sayonara, a film by Joshua Logan
I love this movie SO much! It is so romantic yet has substance, takes us to beautiful Japan and has the most breath taking dance sequences. We had bought this movie on our honeymoon in Gaspésie thinking it was going to be a little cheesy (but got it anyways because it was 4$ and we were going through a major Marlon Brando phase) and were so surprised by how good it really is! I touches the subjects of cultural differences, war and forbidden love.
Plus the hair decorations are to die! So exquisite.
